What's New For 2022?

The 2022 Jeep Compass gains a new model, the 80th Anniversary Edition, that comes with entirely new features. These include 19-inch Granite Crystal wheels, an 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and a remote start system.

Driver-assistance features such as adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist are now standard on Limited and Trailhawk® models.

Engine, Transmission, and Performance

The 2022 Jeep Compass is powered standard by a 2.4-liter inline-four engine that delivers 180 horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque. This engine is paired standard with a six-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. All-wheel drive and nine-speed automatic transmission are optional but standard on the Trailhawk®. The available all-wheel drive offers different driving modes: Snow, Sand, and Mud. The suspension is quite stiff, and the steering is accurate and responsive.

Interior, Comfort, and Cargo

The 2022 Jeep Compass is equipped with a spacious, comfortable, and functional cabin. Standard and available features Mapleton shoppers will find include:

A six-speaker stereo system is standard, but the nine-speaker audio system is available near Caribou. Top trims, like the Trailhawk, gain an 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

Safety and Driver-Assistance

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) gives the 2022 Compass four-star crash-test ratings.* The new Compass comes standard with adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, automatic high beam. Top trims gain blind-spot monitoring, rear-cross traffic alert, rear parking sensors, and rain-sensing windshield wipers.

The Compass Sport gains standard 16-inch black steel wheels, heated side-mirrors, cloth-trimmed seats, 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay®, and Android Auto™.

Latitude

The Compass Latitude adds 17-inch aluminum wheels, cornering light, and black roof rails. The interior gains ambient interior lighting, leather-wrapped shift knob, leatherette seats, and back-row climate control vents.

Latitude Lux

The Latitude Lux features 18-inch aluminum wheels, power-adjustable driver's seat, leather-trimmed seats, 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, remote start, two 12-volt DC power outlets, and heated leather-covered steering wheel.

Limited

The Limited gains adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, blind spot detection, lane departure warning, and front collision mitigation.

Trailhawk

This model is designed for off-road ride and performance. It features a standard all-wheel-drive with different driving modes. The driver can select Sand, Mud, and Snow modes depending on the state of the road. The suspension is fitted with heavy-duty shock absorbers and coil springs. Heated steering is also standard in this model.

High Altitude

This model is also a standard all-wheel drive with an engine that gives up to 177 horsepower and 172 pound-feet of torque. It can tow up to 2,000 pounds and has access to 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot.
